About Health Services

The mission of Registered Nurses in Allen ISD is to provide professional nursing care and to promote a safe and healthy environment that contributes to academic success.

School nursing is a specialized practice of nursing that protects and promotes student health, facilitates optimal development, and advances academic success. School nurses, grounded in ethical and evidence-based practice, are the leaders who bridge healthcare and education, provide care coordination, advocate for quality student-centered care, and collaborate to design systems that allow individuals and communities to develop their full potential.

Our children are our most valuable resource. For that reason, AISD has a registered nurse available to each campus. The goal of the school nurse is to maximize the educational opportunities of each student by identifying, assessing, preventing, managing, minimizing, or removing barriers to education.
