The Allen ISD Human Resources Department's mission is to attract, develop and retain qualified professionals and to maintain an effective workforce dedicated to elementary and secondary education.
The award-winning district serves the majority of the city of Allen, Texas, as well as sections of Parker and McKinney. The suburban community is located 23 miles north of Dallas. As of 2021, Allen ISD is ranked as the ninth-best district in Texas according to Niche.com. The City of Allen is commonly ranked on “Best Cities to Live” lists.

Allen ISD Ranked Third Best School District in Collin County

AISD ranked #3 in Collin County, #201 in America
Allen Independent School District has been ranked as the 11th-best school district in Texas, according to Niche.com’s latest rankings. The website, which calculates the rankings based on data from the U.S. Department of Education and survey responses from families, also listed Allen ISD as the 201st best in the United States.
Other Niche rankings for Allen ISD include:
- Districts with the Best Teachers in Texas – 19th out of 1,034
- Best Places to Teach in Texas – 34th out of 1,015
- Best School Districts in Dallas-Fort Worth Area – 7th out of 87
- Districts with the Best Teachers in Collin County – 2nd out of 14
Niche also rates individual campuses, and Allen High School was named the 137th best public high school in Texas out of 1,624 campuses. Nationally, AHS ranked in the top 5 percent of the best public high schools out of 18,841 campuses.
In Niche’s list of the best public elementary schools in Texas, 10 Allen ISD elementary schools were named in the Top 50.
All three middle schools in Allen ISD were listed in the top 30 in Texas, with Curtis at #17, Ereckson at #21, and Ford at #30.
