Frindle by Andrew Clements is a realistic fiction book.  The main character, Nick Allen, decides to turn his fifth-grade teacher's love of the dictionary by  inventing a new word for a pen called "frindle". This begins a chain of events that quickly moves beyond his control. I enjoyed the book because a fifth grader made a difference as the word "frindle"...well, you will just have to read it to find out what happened. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a humorous light read. :)   Click on COMMENTS below to add your book recommendation to the list that former students have generated.
