     Dual Credit and Concurrent Credit for High School Students

    Allen ISD and Collin College have a partnership which allows students enrolled at Allen High School to take courses at Collin College for both high school and college credit. 

     2019 - 2020 Dual Credit    

    Sign Up for Text Reminders for 2019-2020 School Year:

    All students who will take dual credit courses during the 2019-2020 school year and their parents are encouraged to sign up for text reminders.

    Text: @ahs20dc to 81010 to be added to the AHS Dual Credit Remind list for the 2019-2020 school year. This is for all Dual Credit students and their parents who wish to receive dual credit reminders. Messages will be sent from the Dual Credit Advisors in the College and Career Center. Standard text rates will apply. If you are a Verizon customer, you will also need to download the app to receive text reminders.

    Dual Credit vs. Concurrent Credit

    Dual Credit - college course earns both high school and college credit at the same time. Counselor approval is required.

    Concurrent Credit - college course is used to earn college credit only. Counselor approval is required.


    Transferring College Credit

    College credit will transfer to most colleges or universities. Please visit Collin College's TransferU for more information. See the "(TCCNS) Check Course Equivalencies with other Institutions in Texas" tab located on the top right side of the website.
