ALLEN ISD GRADING POLICY AND PROCEDURES
LATE ASSIGNMENTS
Ten points will be deducted from the assignment grade each day it is late – up to 3 days. Skyward is where you should check if your child has any missing or late assignments.
MAKE-UP WORK DUE TO ABSENCES
Students will be given one day for every excused absence to complete missed assignments. Any previously assigned, long-term assignments will still be due on the original due date regardless of any absence, unless arrangements have been made with the teacher.
Ultimately, it is the student’s responsibility to complete late and/or make-up assignments promptly. It is our desire that these procedures will help maintain consistency and encourage student responsibility as the students grow and mature. If there is ever a question or concern, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher.
OTHER INFORMATION:
Students may have spill-proof water bottles with clear, unsweetened, unflavored, and non-carbonated water for use at their desks. Traditional water fountains are no-longer available at Norton, so your child will need to bring a spill-proof bottle to school each day to refill at the water station.
