A student is excluded from school if illness is evidenced by a temperature elevation of 100 degrees or above.  A temperature must remain within normal range for 24 hours, without analgesic medication, before the student returns to school.  A student with a fever (100 degrees F or above) is not only communicable to others but runs the risk of developing a secondary infection by attending school.

A student with the symptoms of vomiting and/or diarrhea is excluded from school until the condition subsides.  Should fever develop, attendance will follow the above guidelines.
