    Rountree's Technology Program Overview

    1:1 iPad Initiative- 
    • 2nd through 6th graders only
    • iPad used in all classes including PE, Music, and Art
    • Students are responsible for their iPad all day
    • iPads stay at school
    1:1 Teacher iPad Initiative-
    • Every teacher at Rountree is issued an iPad
    • Used in lesson planning and staff development
    • Teachers manage iPads
    • Classrooms connected with AirServer to allow teachers to show their screen through the classroom projector.
    iPad Mini Project-
    • KDG and 1st  grade share 60 iPad Mini's across the two grade levels
    • KDG and 1st grade focus on skill review and product creation in centers
    • 3rd and 4th grade focus on math development and product creation on a 1:1 in class setting
    • iPads stay at school
    iPod Touch Project- 
    • Early Childhood programs and Kindergarten share 40 iPod Touches
    • iTouches are used for skill development and product creation
     
     
     
     
     
    Laptops-
    • 88 laptops are available for teacher and student checkout
    • Outlook Calendar allows for reservation of laptops by any staff member
    • Laptops are used for research, office suite work, and other product creation
     Google Drive Accounts-
    • 3rd through 6th grade have individual Google Drive accounts
    • Accounts allow file sharing, collaboration, and cloud storage for all students that follows them while registered in Allen ISD
    • 3rd through 6th grade students do not have access to gmail accounts through their Google Drive access.
