Along with teaching fourth graders, my family is the most important and fulfilling part of my life. I have a wonderful husband who is a coach at Ereckson Middle School. My three children  begun their academic career as Eagles, but have recently left the nest and are attending nearby colleges.  I am sure  they will be joining me, along with you as we cheer on our Eagles for another state championship this fall. 

Just a little bit about me...I grew up around the Oklahoma City area and graduated from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma with a degree in Elementary Education. For the past  22 years, I have been working as an educator in the North Texas area. I feel very fortunate to belong to a staff and a team of EXEMPLARY teachers that make their home here at Evans Elementary School.

I was very fortunate to have had teachers who nurtured my passions and made learning fun and challenging in school. Instilling that same kind of passion in my students this year is my ultimate goal. I look forward to opening doors to what motivates and excites my students as readers and writers.
