• jWelcome

Welcome back to the 2020-2021 school year! Even though we are starting off with online learning we are still planning fun and interesting activities.  I'm looking forward to sharing this year with you. We are going to have a great year for learning!

Our classroom is room C105. Miss Jones and I have been busy organizing our classroom. We hope this will be a warm, inviting place for you to learn.

    A Little about me:

I teach resource Kindergarten through 3rd grade reading, writing, math, and social skills.  My heart is in teaching students with special needs. I have been teaching for thirteen years, and I still love it.

My bachelor’s degree in education and Special Education is from Texas Woman’s University. I have a master's degree in education administration and I am also a certified dyslexia therapist. My philosophy of education is student-centered. I believe in focusing on individual needs. My desire is to inspire and challenge students to perform their best.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking with my family and traveling. I also enjoy painting in my spare time.

Communication is essential and one of the key components of a successful year. Please feel free to contact me with your questions or concerns. I am looking forward to working with you and your child. Let's make this a great year!

    Best regards,

    Jamie Sutherland
