Mrs. Boyte

  • Welcome to Ms. Boyte's 5th Grade Class!  I'm so excited to be your teacher for Reading and Writing this year! I can't wait to learn all about you. Let me start out by telling you a little bit about me.

    I wasn't born in Texas. It took me 13 years to get here! Before I moved here I lived in several different states and even a different country! I've lived in Germany, New Jersey, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, and Texas. I went to high school in Plano and attended The University of Texas at Dallas for my degree in Child Development and teaching certification. 

    My family and I are so happy to call Allen our home. We have lived here for 12 years and absolutely love it! I have three kids. Nick is going to be a freshman at Dallas Baptist University this year majoring in business and graphic design. Alyssa is going to be a sophomore at AHS, and she plays volleyball. Reagan will be in 5th grade this year, and she loves music and video games. If I'm not at Boyd, I'm usually running them from one sport to another or watching a game or practice. When we're not doing that, we like to spend time with family and friends, watch movies, and play games. 

    Some of my favorites:

    Color: Red

    Food: Ice cream and chips and salsa

    Restaurants:  Chuy's, Chipotle, Chick-Fil-A

    Stores: Charming Charlie, Target

    Sports: Football, basketball, soccer, volleyball (and whatever sports my kids are playing)

    Teams:  The Ohio State Buckeyes (National Champions 2014!!!), Dallas Cowboys, Allen Eagles, Kentucky Wildcats (and whatever teams my kids are on!)

    Grade: Fifth Grade!!!

    Hobby: Reading
