  • Visual Models for Strategic Reasoning

    The use of Rekenreks as visual models will strenghen students' strategic reasoning and math skills. These tools will give students a better foundation to help increase their number sense and math related problem solving.

  • Fraction Tower Equivalency Cubes

    Using fraction tower cubes will provide students with a hands on way to interact and better comprehend the concept of fractions. Teaching students using these interlocking fraction tower cubes will help them understand the size of fractions, how fractions are added and subtracted, and their relationship to decimals and percents.

  • Rolling the Dice in Math and Reading

    Dice will be used to engage and support students' learning in math and reading. These wipe off dice can reinforce lessons and can be easily reused and manipulated depending on the class and grade level.

    This program will help students retain and apply math concepts through spiral reviews implemented on a daily basis.

    Through the use of math tools, math literature sets, and CDs, students will be able to improve their math, writing, and communication skills. Because these skills are linked to problem solving, students will also learn the importance of writing and math and involved in problem solving.
