  • Grass Roots Volleyball

The Grass Roots Volleyball program will provide additional courts for PE students and volleyball players (during offseason) to improve physical fitness, volleyball skills, hand-eye coordination, social peer interaction, and life long fitness activities. By using the outdoor grass space inside the fenced area, approximately 24-48 students could be playing volleyball. Without the additional nets, these students are waiting on the sidelines to actively play.

  • Make Healthy Choices

The main focus for all students is to identify and recognize healthy foods and make better choices for themselves. Students will participate in games that they already know, but with a new twist by integrating health and nutrition concepts to it. The nutrition beanbags will provide the students with a variety of knowledge on nutrition and allow students to identify fruits and vegetables, helping them make healthier choices and share healthy foods from their cultures.

  • Rountree Running Club

The club will utilize various methods of motivating our athletes such as tracking miles on a map, competing for distance walked or ran, and training for various Allen walking/running events.  The students will benefit physically, mentally, and emotionally, and ideally form habits that will help them to become active teenagers and adults.

  • Yuki Ball

Based on the game Yukigassen, Yuki Ball provides non-stop action any time of the year. Players on offense try to work together to capture the flag, while players on defense try to protect their flag. They will also use higher level thinking to create different strategies for the teams to use in this action filled game.
