Welcome to First Grade!
I am thrilled to be a part of this year's First Grade Team! We are going to have a wonderful year full of fun and adventure as we learn and grow together. I truly believe that as we work together, for the very best for your child, this will be their most successful year yet!
This will be my 27th year to be teaching! I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and went to Oklahoma State where I received my Bachelors in Speech-Language Pathology. I then continued my education at the University of Kansas and completed my Masters in Speech-Language Pathology. I worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a number of years. I realized how much I loved being in the classroom with my students, so I decided to become a classroom teacher. I have experience in Kindergarten, first and second grade as well as an Instructional Support Specialist for behavior.
One of my greatest blessings is that I have a 6 years old boy, who keeps me on my toes! It is never dull around our house! I am happy to share that he will be an Olson Otter this year in First Grade! You might see us sometime at the park or out getting ice cream- two of our favorite things to do!
