• Art in History - Terra Cotta Warriors

    1st and 2nd grade AIM students will use the Art in History pieces as well as their research findings to gain an understanding of the Qin Dynasty. The students will display their art in school and have the opportunity to not only showcase their pieces, but they will be able to explain what was significant about their piece of art and why did they decorate it the way they did.

    While students are using this activity to study and apply scientific inquiry and the engineering design process, they will be learning about animals, their habitats, and other 3rd grade science TEKS. Students will use problem solving and cooperative strategies to complete challenges and test their Hexbug robots.

  • Inspire Life Long Learning through Lego Education

    The WeDo 2.0 robotic kits by Lego will provide engaging, hands-on experiences students need to explore core STEM concepts and link them to real-life experiences. The students will have the opportunity to become problem-solvers and discover how science, technology, engineering, and math affect their everyday life.

  • We are SEW creative!

    Adding sewing machines to the AIM classroom will enhance student connection to the vast K-6 curriculum - from exploring ancient civilizations textiles, to Civil War era battle flags and quilts, to 1920's fashion. Students will also learn a life skill that challenges them to think creatively and critically as well as to problem solve and to appreciate the textile and domestic arts.

  • Wonder Workshop

    The Allen graduate profile involves every student in Allen ISD to graduate being an effective problem solver, academically prepared for future pursuits, and effective communicators. This project supports each of these goals and will allow students to solve problems on a consistent basis, be prepared for technology challenges of today and tomorrow, and communicate their learning in an authentic manner.
