There are numerous places where students can access books and stories online. Check out some of these resources:
Overdrive is our district platform to check out ebooks and audiobooks. It is all free and students have access to thousands of chapterbooks. Click on the Overdrive Ebooks tab on the left side to learn how to log on to Overdrive. When you go to log in, remember to click on the blue bar.
Epic is an awesome reading database with numerous ebooks. This resource is great for picture books, nonfiction books and shorter chapterbooks. There is a subscription for it, but parents can also sign up for a 30 day trial.
Storyline Online provides students with numerous stories that are read aloud by famous actors and actresses or the authors themselves.

Take a Virtual Field Trip!
There are many places that offer virtual field trips. Some of these palces are places that are not possible to currently visit, like Mars. Others are places that are far away, while some are close.
San Diego Zoo:
The San Diego zoo's website provides tons of fun and learning experiences for students. There are some games, videos and then a virtual field trip available.
Yellowstone National Park:
Yellowstone National Park offers several virtual fieldtrips to different ventures in the park. You can learn more about the place before you take the virtual trip as well. You can tour places like the Mud Volcanoes, Mammoth Hot Springs Trails and several others.
Explore the surface of the planet from the view of the Curiosity Rover! You can also see a 360 view!

Virtual Farm Tour:
This Canadian Farm offers 11 different tours showing off the different parts of the farm! Take a Milk and Cheese Tour, see a dairy cow farm, grain farm, sheep farm, mink farm, egg farm, or pig farm. There are also tours of oat farm and processing, canadian feed mill, egg processing facility and an apple orchard.
