• ★ Rules of Competition

    1. The recording MUST BE MADE AFTER JULY 1, the launch date of the Allen ISD’s Got Talent competition.
    2. An entry consists of 1 up to a maximum of 5 participants providing a video entry of the talent. All entries including lyrics, music, and costumes/apparel worn must be age appropriate and family friendly. 
    3. If the entry is a GROUP act, then the division category will be determined by the age of the OLDEST participant in the group.
    4. Entries/Acts may not be longer than 90 seconds in length. Performances that are submitted that are in excess of 90 seconds will be judged on the first 90 seconds submitted.
    5. Entries should begin with your name/group name and the act you are submitting as an introduction, then you should begin your talent. Your 90 seconds starts when you begin the talent itself.
    6. There is no limit on number of entries per participant. 1 submission per entry fee.
    7. Performers are encouraged to create and upload their submissions from the safety of their homes and to practice appropriate social distancing.
    8. There will be a first, second and third prize winner in each category. Categories are as follows:
      • 10 and under
      • Age 11 – 14
      • Age 15 – 18
      • Age 19-54
      • Age 55+
      • Pets
      The first place winners in each category will then compete for a Fan Favorite and AISD’s Got Talent Grand Prize Winner.
    9. The panel of Judges (comprised of Foundation Board members, Community Volunteers and local Artists/Experts) will determine the top 3 entries in each category.
    10. Entries will be judged on the quality of the performance, technical skills, stage presence and entertainment value. All determinations of the Allen ISD’s Got Talent panel of judges will be final.
    11. By entering this contest, all contestants agree to the Allen ISD’s Got Talent Release Forms.
    12. All Foundation staff and Board of Director members are ineligible to compete in this competition.
