Daniel Lane ​is in his 8th year as an Assistant Director of Bands at Curtis Middle School in Allen ISD. He earned his Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Tech University. During his time at Texas Tech, Daniel was a member of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, which performed at TMEA in 2013. He was also a member of the Symphony Orchestra and the Goin’ Band From Raiderland. Daniel recently earned his Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas.

Before teaching at Curtis and attending Texas Tech, Daniel began his musical career as a student at the very school he teaches at now. In his current position, Daniel conducts Symphonic Band I, teaches beginner brass and woodwind classes, co-teaches the Curtis Jazz Band, and assists the Allen Eagle Escadrille during the summers. When he is not teaching, Daniel enjoys time at home with his wife, Laurie, and dogs, Laila and Harper.
