Curbside Meals for Virtual LearnersFREE MEAL PROGRAM IS NOW EXTENDED THROUGH THE END OF THIS SCHOOL YEAR FOR ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS!
As announced on September 21, 2020 Allen ISD has been providing free meals to students as part of the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) program. Sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), this program will allow any student in elementary and middle school (PK-8th) to receive a FREE breakfast and lunch meal in the school cafeteria, with the option to purchase a-la-carte items. No signup required for In-Person learners.
Additionally, the District will offer pre-ordered meals for all At-Home learners (PK-12) and for children 18 or younger at no cost. Students in school cannot eat free in the cafeteria and curbside. Pre-ordered meals can be picked up daily at Boyd Elementary, Rountree Elementary, Curtis Middle School and Ereckson Middle School from 9:30 – 10:30 AM. The meal will include one lunch and next day’s breakfast. Heating & holding instructions will be included so that families can heat their lunch at their convenience. Curbside Pickup locations:
- Boyd Elementary, 800 Jupiter Rd, Allen, TX 75002– In front of the school drop-off next to the cafeteria.
- Rountree Elementary, 800 E. Main St., Allen, TX 75002 – In front of the school drop-off next to the cafeteria.
- Ereckson Middle School, 450 Tatum Dr., Allen, TX 75013 – Enter the first driveway from Tatum and follow to the back of the school.
- Curtis Middle School, 1530 Rivercrest Blvd, Allen, TX 75002– From Malone take the second left at the athletic fields and follow the road to door #10.

Elementary and Middle School Parents are encouraged to continue filling out the free and reduced application online at https://www.allenisd.org/Page/50163. The benefits from being approved for free or reduced-price meals, may include discounts for transportation, standardized tests, college application fees and technology fees to name a few. Students that are eligible this year will also qualify for free meals for the first 30 operating days next school year. Please help us by completing this form. Lowery Freshmen Center and Allen High School do not participate in the federally funded program and therefore meals will be charged as normal in those cafeterias; however, freshmen & high school students who are learning virtually are able to pre-order and pick up meals at the curbside locations at no cost. Freshmen and high school students qualifying for reduced meals will receive free meals though the end of the school year, May 2021. Students approved for free meals will continue to receive free meals for the 2020-2021 school year.
