Summer School 2023

  • Summer School Registration is open from May 5, 2023 - June 29, 2023

     

    Summer School consists of an innovative technology-based curriculum. The high school program is designed to provide high school students with the opportunity to regain credit for courses they have previously failed or to complete other courses to accelerate their high school program. Courses available for credit recovery are listed under the High School Credit Recovery Program. Courses available for acceleration are listed under the High School Advancement Program.

Course Information

  • All coursework will be provided through an online learning program. Instructions on how to access the program will be explained during orientation.  You will receive an email with log-in information once payment is verified and your student account has been created.  On-site Learning Labs and Tutorials will be available for student help in-person from 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Thursday.  History tutorials will be available Monday-Thursday from 7:30 am - noon.

    Final exams will be administered on-site, Monday-Thursday from 7:30 am -3 pm. Students may begin taking finals as soon as they complete their coursework. 

    Courses taken during summer school are not calculated into student GPA.

     



  • 2023 Summer End of Course (STAAR) Remediation

    Allen High School will offer summer remediation opportunities for students to increase their skills in Algebra 1, Biology, English 1, English 2 and US History.  This is highly recommended if students do not achieve a passing score on the EOC exam.  The STAAR test will be offered at the end of the session.

Orientation

  • Online Orientation opens May 5th and is required for all students to enroll in summer school. All 7 pages of Orientation must be completed prior to registering for coursesClick the image below to start orientation.

  • Students may register for Summer School after completing Orientation. The form for Registration is available at the end of the Orientation. Click the image above to go through Orientation and Register for classes. 


Important Dates

  • May 5-June 29: Summer school (Credit Recovery/Advancement) online course registration is open

    June 5: First day of Summer School (EOC & Credit Recovery/Advancement) 

    June 29: Last day of EOC classes

    July 3-7: Summer school offices closed and AISD on break

    July 12: All credit recovery/advancement coursework finished

    July 13: All credit recovery/advancement final exams must be complete

Cost

  • Out-of-district: $300 per semester credit

    In-district advancement: $250 per semester credit

    In-district credit recovery/blended: $250 first course (reduced rate for additional courses)

    In-district Free/Reduced students advancement: $100 per semester credit 

    In-district Free/Reduced students credit recovery/blended:$100 first course (reduced rate for additional courses)

    You may sign up for  1 course at one time , please do not pay for more than 1 course per student.  **Refunds are not given for unfinished coursework**

End of Course (EOC) Blended Summer School

  • Blended summer school will be provided for students who did not earn credit for a semester or yearly course that requires an EOC exam. Blended remediation is provided for Allen ISD students only.

    Each course listed below is worth 0.5 credit.

High School Credit Recovery Program

  • These classes are designed for students who previously failed a semester or yearly course and need to recover credit. Each course listed below is worth 0.5 credit.

    *Courses available via blended summer school for AISD students only.


High School Advancement Program

  • These courses are designed for students seeking to accelerate their credit requirements for graduation. These courses are available to students who will be in grades 9-12 during the 2023-2024 school year.


Summer School (EOC & CR) LFC Campus Map

  • *Credit Recovery/Advancement students must enter through door marked X between LFC and Old Eagle Stadium Concession stands.  This entrance is located on the back of the building.

    *EOC students must enter at the door marked Y next to the bus drop off.  This entrance is located on the front of the building.

    **Once students enter the building, they are not allowed to move to a different area within the school.
