Mrs. Brittney Day
I have been within the Plano Independent School District as a student since 2006, graduating from Plano West Senior High School. I attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville as a Biomedical Science major with a double minor in Chemistry and Criminal Justice.
Along my journey as a Tarleton Texan, I was a tutor in the on-campus Math Clinic as well as a Supplemental Instructor for Chemistry I. This experience fueled my ever growing passion for teaching and I decided to return home to attend the University of Texas at Dallas as a Mathematics major with a Statistics specialization and join their UTeach Program to pursue a teaching career.
Upon the completion of my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, I was certified in Mathematics 7-12 as well as English as a Second Language Supplemental.
For two years I was a math teacher and cheerleading coach at Shepton High School. Returning to the Stallions as a teacher has been a grand adventure and I am grateful for the opportunity to teach where I was once a student.
For the past year I have been an Eagle at the Lowery Freshman Center in Allen ISD teaching Algebra 1. I am loving this new opportunity where I can educate future learners, encourage a passion for mathematics and ultimately make a difference in students lives.
