Teresa Durham grew up in Bakersfield, Missouri. She played basketball at Oklahoma Christian College and later transferred to Harding University where she received her B.A. in History and her M.Ed. degree. She started her coaching career in the Klein ISD as a middle school coach. She took her first head basketball job at Kennedale. She later moved to China Spring and won a 3A State Championship in the 2005-06 season. After being at China Spring for ten years, she accepted a new coaching job at Copperas Cove. Coach Durham has also coached at Mesquite High and Waco Midway. She accepted the position at Allen High School in 2016. The Allen Lady Eagles have continued to improve every season and last year the Lady Eagles compiled a 29-9 season record and were Regional Quarter-Finalists. Coach Durham has had several district championships and numerous playoff teams. She served as the President of TABC in 2009 and was honored by coaching in both the TABC and TGCA All-Star games.
Originally from Florida and in middle school moved to Plano, Texas. Went to Plano Senior High School and graduated in the year 2000. Attended multiple colleges before finally transferring and finishing at Sam Houston State University receiving a BA in History with a minor in Kinesiology and Secondary Education. This is his eighth year coaching high school girls’ basketball and his third year at Allen High School. He was named the TABC 6A assistant coach of the year for the 2017-2018 basketball season. He teaches World History at Allen High School. He and his wife, Daphne, have three children: Kali a freshman at Johns Hopkins University, Zoe a seventh-grader, and Blake, 4. Eron Sauls grew up in Temple and went to Temple High School. Upon graduating from high school, he walked on to play football at Texas Southern University where he majored in Exercise Physiology. Coach Sauls transferred to Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, where he received a B.S. in Kinesiology and a Masters degree in Athletic Administration. After graduating, he took his first teaching job as a permanent substitute with coaching duties at Ford Middle School in Allen ISD. The following year he was promoted at Ford to a full-time teacher and coach. A year later he was promoted to teach at Lowery Freshman Center and coach JV football/9th-grade girls basketball. This is his fourth year at LFC/AHS and his first as the JV girls basketball coach. Coach Sauls is very excited to see what this year has in store for him and the rest of the Lady Eagle family.
Shannon Howard is currently in her fifth year in Allen ISD and her eighth-year overall teaching/coaching. Coach Howard is currently the Department Chair of the Physical Education department at Lowery Freshman Center where she teaches and coaches. She also serves as the district Secondary Physical Education Lead teacher. Coach Howard played high school tennis, basketball, and track. She attended Johnson County Community College(JCCC) in Overland Park, Kansas where she played basketball for two years. She graduated with an associate degree from JCCC. She earned her Bachelor's degree in health and physical education from the University of Kansas in 2009. She continued her educational career at Wichita State University, where she graduated with a Master's in Sport Management in 2011. Recently, she completed an additional Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas in May 2018.
Coach Daniels grew up in Eyota, Minn. While attending Dover-Eyota High School, he played football, basketball, and baseball. He earned a degree in Math Education at Minnesota State-Mankato. Coach Daniels has coached for seven years and this is his sixth year at Allen High School. He teaches Geometry and Algebra at the Lowery Freshman Center. Coach Daniels and his wife, Samantha, have one daughter.
