Parents are able to create their Canvas observer accounts by following the instructions below:

• Parents/Families will create their own Canvas account and pair with students using this link: http://allenisd.instructure.com/login/canvas
• Observers will need a pairing code from at least one of their students as they are creating their account
  
• Additional students can be connected to parent accounts once the account is created

Additional Notes for Canvas Observers:

Parents who are employees

1. It is recommended that employees use a personal email when creating an observer account
2. Using their school email can cause issues with access and is messy on the dashboard 

Mobile Apps

1. Download Canvas Parent from the app store, use 'Allen ISD - Parents' in Find School, it points to the Canvas authentication link: - http://allenisd.instructure.com/login/canvas  
2. Teachers and students use the lookup ‘Allen ISD - Teachers and Students’ in their respective apps which point to Rapid Identity for authentication
