     GET TO KNOW MRS. LOOS

This is my 23rd year of teaching and I am looking forward to a really great year.  I am originally from Richardson and graduated from Richardson High School. After graduation, I attended Texas Tech University, where I received my Bachelor's in Education EC-8 with a specialization in Health. I met my husband in high school and we got married in 1995. When I came to work for Allen ISD I started at Rountree Elementary, teaching 5th, 6th and PreK. I taught for 8 years and then decided to stay home with my son. When my son became a student at Anderson, I came back to teaching, teaching 6th, 2nd and Kindergarten. I am starting my 15th year of teaching here at Anderson Elementary.   My son Carson will be a junior at East Texas Baptist University this year.  I love to travel and my husband and I have traveled to many places in the Caribbean, Canada and the United States. We also love ice hockey. My son will also play ice hockey and Lacrosse at ETBU, so we hope to spend many weekends traveling to watch him play. My other great passions are scrapbooking, Zumba and reading, when I have time in my busy week. I chose teaching because I have a great passion for learning and I want to share that with others. I believe all students, if given the opportunity, can succeed in anything they wish. I love to read and hope to instill that same love and importance of reading in my students.  I want each and every one of my students to love coming to school every day and continue that love throughout their school career.
