    Welcome FOURTH Graders!!
I'm so excited to start another school year teaching 4th grade Math and Science, two of my very favorite subjects!  I look forward to being your fourth grade teacher and having lots of fun learning together!  I love to laugh, learn, and experiment in my classroom and there's always new things to investigate and dive deeper into.  I promise a fun year for us all!
Here is a little bit about me....
I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.  This is my 18th year teaching, and my 11th year at Vaughan Elementary.  Previously, I've taught 2nd and 3rd grade in Denton, TX.  After relocating to the Dallas area, I became a third grade teacher at Vaughan and continued for 9 years!  Last year I started teaching 4th grade and am excited to continue in this position!
My husband, Michael, of nearly 17 years is also an educator.  He has taught high school art at at many different schools, was a STEAM instructional coach for Highland Park ISD, and is now the Director of the Moody Advanced Professional Studies program in Highland Park ISD.  Our 12 year old son, Nathaniel, is a 7th grader at Ford and we also have a little girl, Jillian, who will be starting 2nd grade this year, too!  I love being a mom and spending time with my two children.  I also enjoy spending time reading, shopping, going to the movies, hanging out at home, and doing fun things with my family and friends!  My son loves to play soccer and football and my daughter is taking piano lessons and is into basketball.  I have a BIG Greek family and we often spend our summers in Greece.  We spent a month there during the summer of 2017 and it was wonderful creating many new memories and seeing family that lives over there.
I am looking forward to another wonderful school year.  We have so much to learn, and we will stay very busy!  I look forward to getting to know all of my students, as well as preparing them for all the obstacles that 4th grade offers.  Math is one of my favorite subjects to teach and I can't wait to share my math enthusiasm with each of my students!  We also have an exciting reading, language arts, science and social studies curriculum to share with our fourth graders!  Let's come together and make this year our Best Voyage Yet!
