Pride Council members share information concerning upcoming events with buddy classrooms in the younger grades. Pride Council coordinates many fund raisers throughout the year and helps with service projects that Anderson chooses to support. Pride Council also serves as hosts and hostesses for events such as open house, VIP day and PTA meetings. The Pride Council sponsors are Kathy Spann. Jamie Bramlett, Sarah Thomson, Mel McCulloch and Debra Watts. Here is a link to the meeting dates.Safety Patrol
Safety Patrol is open to all 5th graders in the fall. Safety Patrol's purpose is to keep students, parents, and faculty safe while entering and exiting the building. Students help with opening/closing doors to the building and unloading/loading cars during drop-off and dismissal. Members are broken up into teams that work in two week rotations. Safety Patrol members are responsible, reliable and respectful and are seen as leaders in our school. If you are going to be a fifth grader next year and are interested in participating in Safety Patrol, be looking for an application within the first few weeks of school. For more information or questions regarding Safety Patrol you may contact email Sarah_Thomson@allenisd.org.The Anderson running club is very simple and fun. It is designed to help students train for the Rudolph Run and The Allen Eagle Run. However, students do not need to participate in the races to join the club. Parents are even welcome to come and run with us. This club is free to anyone that comes. Students are not required a certain number of training's to be in the club. We do ask that students are picked up on time, 3:30, outside of the gym doors. If your student is picked up late more than one time, he/she will not be able to participate. Please make sure to pick up your child on time.
