• Welcome, Class of 2026!

I am so excited to join you on your journey through Freshman English.  This is my fourteenth year at Lowery, and I feel constantly blessed to be a part of such a close and caring group of educators.  I graduated from the University of North Texas in 1997 and taught for five years in McKinney before choosing to stay home for seven years with my three children. My son, Sean, graduated from AHS in 2019 and currently works for PF Chang's. My daughter Katie graduated from AHS in 2021 and will be a junior at Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) this fall where she is seeking a dual degree in English and History. My youngest, Kristen, will be a junior at Allen High School this year, participating in WINGS, the Dive Team, and Dual Credit.  I have been married to my best friend and wonderful husband, John, for 28 years. Of course, we would all agree that the most important member of our family is our miniature schnauzer, Scarlet, who pretty much rules the house.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, trying new recipes, and traveling with my family, but teaching is my passion. I love being in the classroom everyday helping students grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally, and I look forward to another successful school year.

Please feel free to contact me anytime.
