My name is Lara Mercer, and I am so honored to be at Ford Middle School! I grew up in Allen and attended Reed Elementary, Curtis Middle School, and Allen High School. I am a Texas A&M University graduate (WHOOP!). I have a bachelor's degree in English, minor in Communication, and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. This is my fifth year as an assistant principal, and I am so happy to be back at the secondary level. My husband and I live here in Allen, have been married for nine years, and have two amazing children Jack and Cate. I strongly believe in teaching the whole child and making sure students learn strategies that will make them successful for life. I am here to have a partnership with students and parents, so please feel free to reach out at any time!
