Academic Decathlon
Academic Decathlon provides students with in-class preparation for the Academic Decathlon competition, a nationwide competition that occurs in the spring semester. The class provides systematic preparation of each student for participation in all ten decathlon events: science, social studies, economics, mathematics, fine arts, language and literature, essay, interview, speech, and Super Quiz. Nine members of the class will be chosen in December to be a part of the competitive team. These nine will consist of three “A-average” students, three “B-average” students, and three “C-average” students.
This year's content theme is India. Please see the US Academic Decathlon website for more info!About Mrs. Ross
I'm home!
After being out of full-time teaching for six years, and teaching one year in another district, I'm back in Allen for my second year at AHS. I love the community here and the dedication to excellence. I have twin boys who go to Lindsey Elementary. They are of course perfect, genius, angels. I graduated from The University of Texas with a degree in English. My hobbies include reading, running, and eating cookies after my kids go to sleep. I am looking forward to leading our team to great achievements.
