ExpectationsIt is our goal to teach each of you as much as possible during this school year. In order for us to have a successful year, we must work together and each put forth our best efforts. All students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which does not prevent others from learning or the teacher from teaching.
Homework
Homework will count for 20% of your grade. Homework is very important because it gives you the practice necessary to be successful in this course. You must show work to support answers. If you do not know how to do a problem come see me during class time or tutoring.
Quizzes
Quizzes will count for 40% of your grade. Notes and homework can be used on a quiz.
Tests
Test will count for 40% of your grade. You will not be allowed to use notes or homework. Retesting to earn a 70 is allowed if tutoring is attended and the original test is corrected during that time. Re-takes must be completed within 1 week after the grade is posted.
Tutoring
Tutoring is by appointment only.
Late Work
FINANCIAL MATH will follow the district guidelines in regards to late work, which is that a student has three calendar class days to turn in the late work, and they can earn up to a maximum grade of a 70.
Absences
It is the student’s responsibility to make up any work which is missed due to an absence. The work will be due on the 2nd class day after you return. Extended absences will be dealt with on an individual basis.
Supplies
The supplies you will need each day are paper and a pencil. Classroom calculators are available if students sign a contract for usage. Outside of the classroom, calculators must be purchased or checked out from the library for the year. You will also need to bring in one package of AAA batteries and 1 box of Kleenex.
