Hello! My name is Kirsten West Hammons. I had the pleasure of marrying the love of my life this summer, so those who know me will notice a name change. We are the proud parents of 5 children. Our three oldest are in college this year - two at Texas A&M University and one at the University of Texas at Austin. We have two in high school - a Junior and a Freshman, who both play in the Allen band.
This is my 10th year serving as the Speech-Language Pathologist at Anderson Elementary School. I graduated from Baylor University in 1994 (Sic 'em Bears!) and received my Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) in 1996. I love helping children to be better communicators, and am so glad to be an Anderson Allstar!
Some things we work on in Speech Therapy include: grammar skills, social language skills, appropriate use of voice, fluency in speaking and reading, articulation skills, and receptive and expressive language skills. Please contact me if you have questions or concerns regarding your child's speech and language skills.
