Ereckson Middle School Cheerleading & Mascot Tryout Information Meeting
Who: Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of students wanting to tryout for cheerleader or mascot for the 2018 – 2019 school year
What: Mandatory Cheerleading & Mascot informational meeting explaining guidelines for cheerleading & mascot tryouts
Date: Either Monday February 12th OR Tuesday, February 13th, 2018
Location: Ereckson Middle School Cafeteria
Time: 7:00 PM
Ereckson Cheer Important Information:
February 12 or 13: Parent Meeting for 2018-2019 Ereckson Middle School Cheer/Mascot Candidates 7:00 PM Candidate & Parents attendance is required. Tryout packets will be distributed at the meeting. You must attend the meeting to be eligible to try out.
February 20 4:00 PM: ALL Cheerleader or Mascot forms are due, signed to EMS office by 4:00 PM. Forms will be available at the 2-12/2-13 meeting. NO LATE FORMS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
February 26-27: Mandatory Cheerleader only tryout clinic for all candidates in the Ereckson Gym 4:00-6:00 PM
March 2: 7th & 8th Grade Cheerleader Tryouts 5:00 PM
- 7th & 8th grade candidates report to Ereckson Middle School Gym
- 5:00 pm – cheerleaders arrive and warm-up
- 6:00 pm – tryouts begin
-7:00 pm– tryouts end (approximate time)
-Announcement of 2018-2019 Spirit Squads online after tryouts
(Mascot tryouts will only occur if there are more than two mascot candidates interested) More Information to come depending on the amount of interest.
*Maximum of two mascots will be chosen*
***If your child makes the squad, there be a mandatory new team meeting and varsity fitting March 8th 4:00-6:00 for the cheerleader and a parent to attend at EMS.***
She/he will also be required to attend the Allen Middle School day camp listed below at Ereckson Middle School.
Allen ISD Middle School Cheer Camp July 30-August 1
9:00 AM-4:00 PM -Attendance is required each day for cheerleaders and mascots
