Cheerleader & Mascot Tryout Information Meeting:
Who: Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of students wanting to tryout for cheerleader or mascot for the 2019 – 2020 school year
What: Mandatory Cheerleading & Mascot informational meeting explaining guidelines for cheerleading & mascot tryouts
Date: Either Monday February 11th OR Wednesday, February 13th, 2019
Location: Ford Middle School Cafeteria
Time: 6:30 PM
Curtis Cheer Important Information:
February 11 or 13: Parent Meeting for 2019-2020 Curtis MS Cheer/Mascot Candidates
6:30 PM Candidate & Parents attendance is required. Tryout packets will be distributed at the meeting. You must attend the meeting to be eligible to try out.
February 19: ALL Cheerleader or Mascot forms are due, signed to CMS office by 4:00 PM. Forms will be available at the 2-11/2-13 meeting.
4:00 PM NO LATE FORMS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
March 18-19: Mandatory Cheerleader only tryout clinic for all candidates in the Ford Gym.
March 20: OPTIONAL Mock Tryouts in the Ford Gym.
March 21: 7th & 8th Grade Cheerleader Tryouts
5:00 PM - 7th & 8th grade candidates report to Ford Middle School Gym
- 5:00 pm – cheerleaders arrive and warm-up
- 6:00 pm – tryouts begin
-7:00 pm– tryouts end (approximate time)
-Announcement of 2019-2020 Spirit Squads posted online by end of day 3/22
(Mascot tryouts will only occur if there are more than two mascot candidates interested) More Information to come depending on the amount of interest.
*Maximum of two mascots will be chosen*
***If your child makes the squad, there be a mandatory Varsity fitting April 24th 4:00-5:30 for the cheerleader and a parent to attend at CMS.***
She/he will also be required to attend the Allen Middle School day camp listed below.
July 29-July 31, 2019: Allen ISD Middle School Cheer Camp
