Welcome to my website!
I am so glad you decided to visit!
First, let me tell you a little about me:
I was born and raised in Texas, went to Allen schools from 3rd grade through graduation. I graduated from Allen High School in 1997, and from the University of North Texas in 2002. I am currently working on my Master's of Educational Administration through Concordia Texas University. This is my 18th year teaching and my 13th year at Boyd! It is amazing to think that I have been here so long, and I am so thankful for the Boyd students and staff. I love my job!
I live here in Allen, and so do my parents and grandmother. I have 1 four-legged daughter named Sadie. Sadie is a 10 year-old Boxer/Pit Bull mix. She provides hours of entertainment and great stories to tell and write about in class! I love all sports, especially Allen Eagle and Texas Longhorn football! I can usually be found at a football game on Friday nights at Allen Eagle Stadium!
What I teach:
I am a SSI Intervention Specialist. This means that I work with small groups of children, grades k-6, to help them accelerate their learning in all subjects. If a child is struggling with a concept, I might work with them to help them master it so that they can move forward. I absolutely love this position! I get to work with all students and teachers around the school :). I also manage the Student Intervention Team process for our monolingual students. This means that sometimes I meet with parents, teachers, and administrators to make sure that a student's needs are being met so that they can be as successful as possible. If you every have any concerns for your child at school, don't hesitate to contact me.
Please feel free to read through my webpage and contact me if you have any thoughts or suggestions.
Have a great day!
