    Hello! Welcome to a fabulous year in 6th grade!
    I am excited to be teaching ELA!
    My name is Jennifer Smith.
    This will be my 18th year of teaching!
    I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 6th grade!
    I LOVE kids and LOVE teaching !

    I was born in Lufkin, Texas. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I moved to Dallas to begin my teaching career in 2002. I come from a LONG line of educators. My mother has been in the education system over 20 years, my grandmother was a pioneer teacher, and most of my aunts and uncles are teachers.
     

    I have a Master of Education degree with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M Commerce.

     

     

    I enjoy reading books, traveling, spending time with my family and friends, shopping, going to sporting events, and working out. My favorite color is pink!
