Hello Cheatham Chargers,

 

My name is Anna Leiker and I am proud to be a 2nd grade teacher here at Cheatham Elementary! This is my 16th year of teaching in Allen ISD. I have a BSBA from UT Dallas and earned my teaching certificate from Collin College. I have a great love for learning and can't wait to share that love with your child!

 

 

 

A little about me: I'm not originally from Texas but have lived here long enough to be considered a Texan. Go Cowboys! :)  My father was in the military, so my family and I traveled all over the United States and Europe. I speak some Spanish and am working toward becoming a fluent Spanish speaker. I've been married to my wonderful husband for 29 years. He is a software engineer and a retired Blackhawk pilot. We have two amazing children who have grown up in the blink of an eye: Adam is an accountant and lives nearby, and Brenna is an ER Physician Assistant and will be getting married in October. We have a precious Catahoula-mix dog named Samwise Gamgee who loves daily walks and lots of hugs. I love to read, cook, make a mess with home projects, garden, practice yoga, tell stories, and travel with my family.

 

You will absolutely love this 2nd grade school year with me and your child! Your 2nd grader is going to become more aware of how rewarding a life of learning can be. What makes this year even better is that, together, we will be a big part of helping them make these learning discoveries!
