Lindsey Elementary School

     Howdy! I'm excited for the 2022-23 school year to begin, and cannot wait to see all my students in person (Yay!) as we embark on a new year in AIM. This will be my 9th year as Lindsey's GT specialist, and I have truly LOVED every minute of it! Be sure to click on the other links on the left of this page for information about AIM.

     This will be my 21st year as a public school teacher, and my 14^th year with Allen ISD. I began teaching in 2002 after graduating from Texas A&M University! In 2008, I completed my Master's in Education from the University of Texas at Tyler.  And, while I have a degree from rival schools, I'm definitely an Aggie at heart!

     Over the past 20 years in education, I have had the opportunity to teach 1st grade, Kindergarten, 6^th grade, 7^thgrade, and elementary PE.  While most of my career has been with Allen ISD, I have also taught in Brenham ISD, Hillsboro ISD, and West ISD. 

     I have been blessed with three wonderful children, Emma 18, Ty 15, and Cash 13, and an amazing husband, John David!  This is the first year with our oldest away at college in St. Leo, Florida, where she will be playing volleyball.  We are excited and getting used to the new normal of just our boys at home.  They also keep us very busy, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

     Nine years ago, I was part of Lindsey's grand opening of this wonderful campus!!! If you are new to our school this year, I promise you will love it! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child's life and please feel free to contact me any time you would like to chat.

PS. Just in case you haven’t met her yet, my sister-in-law (Mrs. Heather Janek ) is the librarian here at Lindsey too, so be careful when you ask for Mrs. Janek!  There are two of us!
