Hi! WELCOME BACK to the new school year! I am thrilled to begin my second year teaching at Anderson Elementary School! This year will be my 11th year teaching Special Education. I am truly excited about the opportunity to teach and work with your children! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you might have, or just to share how your child's summer went! This years Anderson theme is "Grow Anderson." I cannot wait to partner with you in growing All-Star's together!
A little about me:
I graduated from Texas Tech University in 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise, Sport, and Science, and Bachelor's degree in Human Development. Upon graduation I was the assistant athletic trainer at Frenship High School in Wolfforth, Texas, but something was missing in my life. I realized that I had a strong desire to teach children with special needs, so after that year was up, I packed up my bags and moved to North Texas. I received my Master's degree in Special Education from The University of North Texas in 2005. I have taught a variety of special education classes including resource, PPCD, Life Skills, and now DEAR.
When I am not teaching or preparing for school, I am chasing around my two precious children. Hailey is 9 and Collin is 7. I also love reading, exercising, and drinking coffee! :)
