My name is Gwynn Loftin and I am Vaughan Elementary's Campus Intervention Specialist. This will be my thirty-sixth year in education. Wow! How time flies! I began my teaching career in Mesquite ISD teaching Special Education for ten years. Then I moved to Garland ISD and taught fourth and first grade for the next eight years. The next part of my journey was in Highland Park. First grade had my heart for two years before I moved to third grade. Finally, and I hope this is the last move, I came to Allen ISD in 2015. I am very blessed to work in this district at a job that I love to come to each and every day. I received my BS degree from East Texas State University and my Master's in Educational Administration from Texas A & M-Commerce in 2009.
I have two grown children, Meaganne and Collin. My daughter, Meaganne, is an Occupational Therapist for Royce City ISD. Her husband, Casey, is a fire fighter in Rowlett. My son, Collin, is part owner of a company called Array Medical. Collin's wife is Cassie. She was a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader for five years and now that she has retired, they have their own little family. I am a very proud grandparent! My grandson is Cannon Michael and I have three granddaughters, Lennon Jo, Charlotte Cate, and my newest Camilla Cate.
My family spends a lot of time at Lake Texoma. I love going to the lake and boating, hanging out in the sun, and having cookouts with all of my friends. I love reading, cooking, taking walks, playing games, and gardening.
My role is to support teachers, students and their families with academic and behavioral needs. I also coordinate campus testing, Student Intervention Team (SIT) meetings, and 504 meetings. Contact me at 972-727-0470 ext. 106202 if you have any questions.
