Math Honor Society

Next Meeting: We usually meet the first Monday of each month but double-check remind for any changes.
Club Requirement: To be a member in good standing, $15 dues must be paid, 4 hours of math service must be completed each semester and you must maintain an 85 overall math average for all of your high school math classes starting with Algebra I. Also, you must have completed Algebra I and Geometry.
Service Hours Information: Each semester, members must perform 4 math related service hours. Only math related service hours can count towards math honor society. These hours can be earned by tutoring another student in a math related subject (including Physics and Chemistry) or by performing another service that actively involves the use of math. Doing volunteer work for STEAM or volunteer Robotics activities also are accepted. If you miss th eservice hour deadline - you are required to complet it plus a penalty of 2 additional hours so please get those ours turned in by deadlines. Deadlines will be given in the meeting presentations and also on Remind.
Scholarship: We use a majority of the dues each year to give a scholarship to a handful of seniors that remain n good standing. Scharship winners must be on time with all dues and service hours. (We will be gving about $2500 total - of course this depends on membership each year)
