One Can, Toucan, We All Can! 

Hello parents and new first graders! I hope you have had a wonderful summer and are ready "to soar" through 1st grade together! I would like to tell you a little about myself. I graduated from Abilene Christian University. 

After graduating I taught in Keller ISD for nine years-2nd grade for 6 years and Kindergarten for 3 years. We moved to Allen in 2009, and I taught Pre-K for 7 years. Five years ago I came back to teach full time in Allen. 

Since being back I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade and 1st grade. I LOVE teaching first grade because the kids grow so much throughout the year, and I love watching their progress! I also know what they learned in 

Kindergarten and what they need to know for 2nd grade. I LOVE teaching at Olson-my children have gone here since we moved to Allen so this is home for me. I have been married 23 years to my husband Cody. We

have three children: Jace is 17 and is going to be a Senior at Allen High School, Kyla is 14 and will be in 9th grade at Lowery, and Kinsley is 11 and will be in 6th grade at Olson. We also have two dogs named Remington and Harley and two turtles named French Fry and Tator Tot. I like to read, watch movies, spend time with my family, play games, spend time outdoors, watch my kids play sports, and travel. I can't wait to learn about you! We are going to have a great year!
