I am excited to be teaching in fifth grade at Preston this year! I will be teaching Science and Social Studies. I am excited to welcome students to school this year and also to be going to Allaso Ranch this fall! I can't wait to meet my new families face to face. Please let me know if you have any questions, my primary parent communication will be through email. A little bit about me; we love to travel! This summer we went to Portugal, Cairo, and Istanbul. Last year, we visited Jamaica, Greece, and Paris. In the summer of 2019 we traveled to Australia and New Zealand. We snorkled the Great Barrier Reef, toured the Sydney Opera house, and visited Hobbiton (film set of the Lord of the Rings). We have also explored Italy and visited the ruins in Pompeii, saw the Amalfi coast, Rome, Florence, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We've also seen Barcelona, Spain and went on a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas. We've fed pandas in Atlanta, seen Broadway shows in New York City, laid on Jamaican beaches, visited Paris and explored London by underground. Traveling has been a great family activity for us! My oldest daughter, Sunna, graduated in 2016 from Allen and is currently in law school. My son, Zack, graduated in 2019 from the IB program at Allen High School and is currently at UTD in Political Science. My youngest daughter, Sophie, is a freshman at Iowa State, where I met my husband many years ago! We have lived in Allen for over 20 years and love attending home football games!
