    Room #101

    Conference Time:  10:25-11:10am

Welcome to DeBusk's Deep Sea Creatures!  I am so excited that we get to spend the whole year learning together.  I previously taught every grade from 2nd-7th, took many years off to raise my 5 children, and came back three years ago teaching 1st grade.  While so many things have changed in education during that time, my love for children and helping them to grow, has not!

I have been married to Ben for 32 years.  We met in college in San Marcos, TX, and quickly after graduation, he went into the Air Force.  We have 5 children:  Bailey (29), Darby (21), Kally (18), Rainey (16), and Rawley (13).  Bailey and her husband, Charles, have just recently moved up here as Charles accepted a job at McKinney North High School and they, and their two dogs, now live with us for a while.  I LOVE having all my children back in the same house again.    Darby is a senior at UNT, Kally is a senior at Allen High School, Rainey is a sophomore at the high school, and Rawley is entering 8th grade at Ford Middle School.

Ben is a pastor in Plano and we enjoy our free time together.  He brings lunch to me each Friday and we have weekly Saturday date days!  We have had many adventures in our married life including living in Italy for 2 1/2 years.  But where we are now, and what we are doing now, is our greatest adventure to date!

We will have a student teacher in our classroom this fall!  We will have the awesome responsibility of helping Ms. Dickson to learn even more about becoming a teacher and giving her an opportunity to hone her skills in our class.  We are very fortunate to be able to have her with us.  Read to learn a bit more about her!

My name is Ms. Dickson and I am completing my last semester at Texas A&M - Commerce. I will be graduating in December with my Bachelor's degree in Education.  I work a lot with our youth at church and enjoy teaching and watching kids grow!  I look forward to learning from Mrs. Debusk and the opportunity to teach this semester!
I am a mother of three (Logan - 27, Mariah -23, and Simon - 16) and grandmother of two (Asher - 3 and Emberly - 4 month).  I have lived in Allen since 1993 and have watched the city grow. I am originally from Virginia and enjoy getting back to the Blue Ridge mountains.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and watching the Allen Eagles.
