    Welcome!  My name is Amy Bates and I am excited to be teaching your children math this year. I have been teaching in Allen for about 18 years.  I began in 3rd grade and this will be my 11th year to teach 5th grade. As a team we will work together to create a positive and enriching environment for your child.  We believe that it is important for all of us (teacher, student & parent) to communicate and be committed to each other for a successful year.
