Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!

I am so excited to serve as the Assistant Principal at Vaughan.  This is my 3rd year on campus, I am thankful everyday for this incredible opportunity to be a Vaughan Viking!

    A little about me…

This will be my 13th year in education, and my 11th year in Allen ISD.  I began my teaching career in Richardson ISD where I taught first grade.  After starting a family and buying a house in Allen, I was honored with the privilege of teaching here in Allen ISD.  I taught kindergarten, first, and fourth grade at Reed Elementary, served as a Math Instructional Coach at Boyd Elementary, and spent 2 years at Rountree Elementary as their Campus Intervention Specialist.

I'm a graduate of Texas A&M University where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies.  Several years later, I attended Texas A&M University-Commerce and obtained my Masters in Educational Administration.

On a personal note, I am blessed with an incredibly supportive and loving family.  My husband, Bryan, is also an educator and serves as an Assistant Principal in Plano ISD.  We love to ride bikes, watch ball games, try new foods, and spend time with our dog, Daisy.  Our son Pierce is 12 years old, and our daughter Macie is 9. They are both very active in sports and love to challenge us in every way.  They keep us on our toes, but we could not be more blessed by their growing personalities and kind hearts. :)

This year at Vaughan, I will be partnering with the school community to collaboratively team together in growing all of our students.  I love working with children, and I love nothing more than seeing their smiling faces when they learn something new or are just excited to be at school with people who care about them.  Thank you for trusting me to educate your students, and I am looking forward to an incredible year. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have.  I am happy to serve you and your children in their educational journey.
