Welcome to my page; my name is Jason Duran and I have been teaching in Special Education for the past 15 years. This is my 3rd year with Allen ISD as the Non-Traditional Teacher at Dillard.  I am excited to take on this new role and look forward to supporting students and staff. 

A little more about myself…I grew up in McKinney, TX and graduated from Texas A&M University. Aside from teaching, I have developed my artistic skills and pursue painting and music as a meditative practice and sometimes paying endeavor.  My wife and I are excited about our new love, our son, Silas aka “Silas Tamales,” or “Pop-o.”  We also enjoy art as family time and pursuing new things to learn about.   I come from a long list of educators in my big family as well as business professionals, medical personnel, and artists/musicians.  Both maternally and paternally, we are a close knit family that likes to live, love, and laugh.
