Welcome to Miss Ackles's page! 

My name is Jennifer Ackles and I am excited to be the new SSI (Student Success Initiative) teacher at Kerr Elementary this year.  I work with three amazing SSI team members to provide small group, targeted instruction for students in grades K-6.  We are passionate about engaging students to reach their greatest potential in the learning process. 

A little about myself: 

This is my fifth year at Kerr where I get to work with amazing students, families, and staff!  I previously was the Primary Resource teacher here at Kerr and am excited to take on a new role this year on our campus.  I am a graduate of Baylor University where I received my degree in elementary education.  This year marks my nineteenth year as a public school educator and my twenty-fourth year in education.  The majority of my teaching career has taken place in Texas including three years as an educational therapist and clinic director in a private clinic for students with learning differences.  I was born and raised in the Chicagoland area and have taught in two other states outside of Texas.   My passion is facilitating excellence in learning for my students to reach their highest potential.  I am excited to watch your Eagles soar!
