• My name is Marla Mock and I am one of the dyslexia therapists on campus.  I am very proud of becoming a Certified Academic Reading Therapist. I am licensed by the State of Texas.  I am dyslexic, and I know how your babies feel about reading. I love watching students grow and understand what and why they are learning that skill or strategy.

I have been teaching for 32 years for Mesquite ISD, Richardson ISD, and Melissa ISD.  I have taught special education, kindergarten, first, second, and third grades.  I went to school at Texas A&M where I received my Masters in Education.

A little about me:  I have two children, Brittney and Dakota.  They keep me busy with their babies (I am nothing with a "G,"  I am called Emmie).  LOL!   I love football!  I watch pro and some college.  I am a beach girl and love scuba diving.  I try to exercise and eat somewhat healthy (peanut m&m's are my weakness).   I got in touch with the love of my life.  We grew up across the street from each other.  I played barbies with his little sister.  We were married in November 2020. I am happy to add three more boys to the family.   I am excited to be here another year with the Kerr family and I am looking forward to working with your babies.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. I would like to talk to each of you personally.  I enjoy the relationship we build to help your child be successful and happy.
