The Allen dance department is open to all students, regardless of previous training. Novice dancers and skilled dancers alike will find a place in the dance department. Please read below for a detailed description of the fabulous dance classes we offer at Allen!
We offer four years of dance training:
Level I - IV. Students can earn P.E. OR
fine arts credit for successful completion of the first two levels of dance. Classes will cover jazz, ballet, tap, modern, and hip hop styles along with a variety of general health, fitness and wellness concepts. All students perform in our Winter Dance Concert, go on a dance field trip, and much more! NO AUDITION REQUIRED FOR LEVEL I-IV.
This course is held at Allen High School. It is open to students 9-12 that audition for the course. This class focuses on advanced and rigorous dance training.
There will be auditions for our advanced dance class for 2020-2020 in the spring.
Our exciting Drill Training program is the next step for dancers seeking a more intense focus on dance performance and dance technique. This class is designed to prep each student for Tallenette auditions. Pre Drill is open to all students 9-12 and is the highly recommended course for students planning to try out for the Tallenettes Dance Team.
NO AUDITION REQUIRED FOR DRILL TRAINING.
