Welcome to Fourth Grade Math and Science

I am excited about returning to Norton for my fifth year and to continue teaching my favorite subjects (math and science) in fourth grade!

My family has lived in Allen for 13 years.  My husband Luke has a PhD in Electrical Engineering and is co-founder and CTO of Dallas Quantum Devices. My youngest son Rafe is a 9th grader at Lowery Freshman Center who enjoys playing his guitar and my oldest son Eagan is a sophomore at Allen High School who loves STEM and wrestling.  We also have two beloved feline family members (Wither and Bullet).

I attended the University of Houston-Clear Lake and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Masters of Science degree in Environmental Science.  I worked in the field of Environmental Science for 19 years, including 5 years teaching Environmental Science at Collin College in Frisco and McKinney. 

Through my experiences with my own boys and volunteering in the community (as a Cub Scout den leader, ASA soccer coach, and PTA President), I discovered that my true passion lies in teaching children.  In 2017-2018, I subbed for Allen ISD and completed my Alternative Teacher Certification.  My certifications are K-6 Generalist, ESL Supplemental, Science 4-8, GT Supplemental, and Art EC-12. 

My family and I have a long history at Norton.  Both my boys attended Norton K-6 and I served on the Norton PTA Board during the years my boys were Norton students. 

I love science, nature, art, travelling, reading, and fitness.

My goal is to help your child reach their full emotional, social, and academic potential.  I will ensure that I create a classroom environment that is nurturing and encouraging, so that they may reach this potential.
