Welcome back to the 2018-2019 school year! I am thrilled to begin my first year of teaching at Lindsey Elementary! This is my second year of teaching in Special Education. I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to partner with you to assist in your child’s education! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any comments, questions, concerns, or joys; communication is a key to success! Here in our classroom, we work on many different skills to develop each child’s academic readiness. We can stay quite busy throughout the day working on all of our skills in a variety of social and academic situations. An important aspect to our room is that we learn together! I look forward to the learning adventures this year will bring and being part of the Lindsey Lonestar team!
A little bit about me:
I graduated from the University of North Texas in December of 2016 with a Bachelor Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with my teaching certifications for general and special education. I immediately began subbing across the Allen ISD district, which helped solidify my love for working with special needs children. I began my first year of teaching over at Anderson Elementary in their K-2 Special Education room and had the opportunity to join the Resource 2 program over here at Lindsey!
When I am not in the classroom or preparing for the classroom, I am spending time with my husband and our two pets. We got married in March of 2018 and recently moved to McKinney from Denton. I love to spend time outdoors swimming and hiking but I also love to curl up and read a good book with a cup of chai tea!
